Fly ash is a byproduct formed when coal is burned in thermal power plants. It is a fine powder containing aluminous and siliceous material that becomes cementitious when water is added to it. Concrete made using fly ash is easy to pour, shows low permeability, and resists chemical reactions, thereby increasing the service life of concrete. Fly ash is primarily used in the construction and infrastructure industries.

The fly ash market has been growing owing to the growth in the construction industry, increasing focus on infrastructure and road paving, problems related to dumping fly ash, promotion of fly ash by governments of various countries, and increasing focus on the use of environment-friendly products.

Fly Ash Market is segmented based on the type as Class F and Class C. Based on application it covers Cement, Concrete, Bricks, Blocks, Road Construction, Cement manufacturers and brick makers already use fly ash — which has strong adhesive properties.
